Volunteers: The Cornerstone of Rosalie Manor

National experts assign a $16.08 per hour value for volunteers. At Rosalie Manor, we believe our volunteers are priceless. Volunteers support our staff and help carry out our mission to reduce child abuse, neglect and teen pregnancy in Milwaukee County.

The anchors of our volunteer program are the bulk mailing crew. These 10 hard working women meet each month to mail more than 4,500 newsletters to Supporting Today's Parents program families. In total, they provide a total of 40 labor hours each month.

Over the years, they have formed a special bond sharing recipes, critiquing movies, and telling jokes and stories that give each other insight into life's many twists and turns. They also liven up our offices with their infectious laughter and captivating conversation.

The vibrant crew includes Barbara Adkins, Madelyn Brissette, Judi Eichinger, Jane Hoppe, Marie Lickteig, Lucy Matson, Delores Olmstead, Edith Stroik, Anne Tanel, and Zita Turkowitch. Together they have a combined total of 80 years of service to Rosalie Manor!

We would like to acknowledge the passing of one of our beloved volunteers of 14 years, Anna Beauchamp. Anna passed away in December, 2003. Judy Eichinger remembers Anna as a "special lady who was quiet, but had wonderful wisdom and could tell grand jokes." Anna was an inspiration to everyone, and she is missed.

Beginning her Rosalie Manor volunteer experience is Heidi Blossy, a UWM–Milwaukee student majoring in social work. Heidi is the Community Learning Center Aide at Washington High School and assists with tutoring students.

Like many non–profits, Rosalie Manor's Board of Directors are volunteers. These dedicated professionals are committed to our mission, families and programs. Here's a brief description of our hard working Board Members: Mark Zalewski, Board President, has been with Rosalie since 1999. He is a Financial Advisor for Robert W. Baird & Co. Lindsey Draper, Vice President, is Milwaukee County's Circuit Court Commissioner assigned to Children's Court, and has been with Rosalie since 2001. Tina Grace, Secretary, has been on the Board since 2002 and is the Director of Community Partnerships with Aurora Health Care. Todd Antony, Board Treasurer, has been with Rosalie since 2002 and is the Assistant Principal at St. Leo's Urban Academy. Dick Barnes, a Board member since 2002, is the President and Owner of Barnes Development Group, an executive search firm. Jim Bertrand is the IT Manager of COA Youth & Family Centers, and joined Rosalie's Board in 2002. Warwees Holt has been a Board member since 2001 and is the Special Markets Loan Officer for St. Francis Bank. Celia Jackson has been a Board member since 1999 and is the Delegate for Community Services for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Kevin Kane joined the Board in 2004, and is a Vice President for business banking at M&I Bank. Diane Knight, Executive Director of Catholic Charities, joined our Board in 1999. Steven Percy joined the Board in 2003, and is the Deputy Chancellor for the Milwaukee Idea at UWM. Jon Sohn is the Regional Vice President of Financial Services at Covenant HealthCare, and joined the Board in 2004. Francis Wiesner, Vice President of Business Development for Thompson Consulting, joined the Board in 2003.

We would like to thank all of our volunteers for their dedication, time, and commitment to Rosalie!
