TEENS ON THE MOVE

Teens on the Move (TOM) is an important component of FUPTP. TOM is a program for youth between the ages of 13 - 19 years, and is focused on increasing life skills, relationship building, setting goals and most importantly, leadership development. The FUPTP curriculum is used as the basis of the program, but because TOM works with older youth, this program gets more in depth than FUPTP.

Teens are encouraged and given the guidance to excel academically and socially. Each youth receives individual case management and monthly school visits. Through TOM, teens are also given an outlet to voice opinions and concerns that pertain to their lives. TOM meets 2 to 3 times a week, and teens also participate in monthly community service projects.

While some participants have gone through FUPTP, it is not necessary to have done so. The only requirement to participate is that a teen is non-pregnant and non-parenting.
