Strengthening Milwaukee families by empowering parents to be nurturing and by guiding youth toward positive futures

In 1908, at the request of Milwaukee’s Bishop, two Canadian Misericordia Sisters came to Milwaukee to open a home for unwed mothers.  Named for Rosalie Jette, the foundress of the Misericordia Sisters, Rosalie Manor Community & Family Services was established.

In the 1980s, we transitioned away from residential services and focused our energies and resources on prevention based services in the areas of child abuse and teen pregnancy.

We are a leader in designing and implementing innovative programs that address the challenges commonly faced by families living in urban communities including teen pregnancy, lack of access to quality healthcare, child development issues, barriers to education/employment and financial dependence.  Our programs include: Supporting Teen Families (STF), Today’s Dads, and Families United to Prevent Teen Pregnancy.

Our services are more than just programs; they are our calling – a central part of our DNA.  Rather than trying to be all things to the community, we have continued to commit ourselves to making a positive difference in addressing Milwaukee’s pregnancy, birth and sexually transmitted infection rates for teens; fatherless homes; and improving parenting skills.
