Families United to Prevent Teen Pregnancy (FUPTP) was developed by our staff in 1986 to help combat the city’s growing teen pregnancy rate. Along with the program, a curriculum was developed that is based in youth development best practices coupled with risk-reducing activities. This copyrighted curriculum is nationally recognized and has been used in more than a dozen cities nationwide.

Teenage pregnancy prevention is not one of many far-flung initiatives we provide. It is our greatest area of concern, passion and commitment:
FUPTP encourages youth to refrain from all high risk activities including sexual activity, drugs/alcohol/tobacco, and participation in other illegal activities. Through a fun and interactive curriculum presented by trained educators, youth learn life skills that will assist them in making positive decisions. Some curriculum topics include:
