Helping Milwaukee families reach their full potential is big job. Thankfully Rosalie Manor is blessed with an energetic, dedicated staff and a host of caring volunteers throughout the community.

Meet the professionals who guide the various Rosalie Manor programs and supervise the teams required to conduct these efforts successfully.

Executive Director

Don Shane
Executive Director, Rosalie Manor Community & Family Services

As Executive Director, Mr. Shane leads Rosalie Manor in its mission of Strengthening Milwaukee families by empowering parents to be nurturing and by guiding youth toward positive futures.

Bringing business, public sector and non-profit leadership to Rosalie Manor, Mr. Shane joined the organization early in 2009. Mr. Shane brings a diversified background and extensive involvement in numerous non-profits, putting him in a unique position to understand and address the critical family issues faced by Milwaukee’s community. Mr. Shane’s strong leadership skills, combined with his successful fundraising initiatives and strategic and business planning expertise, provide the ideal combination of talents to Rosalie Manor.

Most recently, Mr. Shane served as Interim Executive Director of Neighborhood House of Milwaukee, Inc. He has also served many social service, health and educational non-profit organizations in an executive or board member capacity, including The Counseling Center of Milwaukee, Easter Seals Society of Milwaukee County, Milwaukee Hospice Home Care, Milwaukee Center for Independence, Messmer High School Corporation, Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design and Urban Day School. Additionally, Mr. Shane has prior business experience in the biotech industry and government experience in economic development and urban planning positions.

Mr. Shane holds a Master of Urban Planning degree from the University of Illinois and a related Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University in Ohio.

Director Of Development

Dawn Groshek, MA
Director of Development, Rosalie Manor Community & Family Services

Ms. Groshek joined Rosalie Manor as Director of Development in 1996. Since that time, she has been responsible for grant writing, communications, coordinating special events, building relationships within the community, and program development. In addition, she was part of the team who revised Rosalie Manor’s abstinence-based curriculum “Families United to Prevent Teen Pregnancy Life Options Curriculum.”

She belongs to the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP)s.

Ms. Groshek’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts (Business Management and Professional Communications) from Alverno College and a Master of Arts (Communications with a focus on Advertising/Public Relations) from Marquette University.

Director of Programs

Alison Sergio, MBA
Director of Programs, Rosalie Manor Community & Family Services

Ms. Sergio joined Rosalie Manor as Director of Programs in 2004. Having been in the social work field for 10 years, Ms. Sergio has vast experience with case management and group facilitation. She is responsible for oversight of 3 federal grant projects as well as local foundation grants. In 2006 she began managing the Milwaukee County Abstinence Project, a program which uses the FUPTP curriculum with youth who are in the Bureau of Milwaukee Child Welfare, through individual case management services.

Ms. Sergio’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University. Ms. Sergio is proficient in Spanish and often serves as the trainer for various programs in the Milwaukee community.
